~Welcome~
Welcome aboard the PIT Crew, a monthly newsletter with resources, spotlights, and events within the “public interest tech” community 🚢
Who Are We?
We are three early-career technologists - Ro, Marissa, and Priya.
We found each other through a shared passion and curiosity about the intersection of tech and policy. As you can imagine, our conversations always ended with more questions than answers! 🤷🏽♀️
Thus, we wanted to open these questions up to the broader community and hear from early-career folks like us, as well as mentors and more experienced people in this field.
What are we trying to achieve?
Our (evolving) goals for the ~PIT Crew~ are:
Discuss early-career pathways in public interest tech
Invite others in this field to share their experiences
Send resources that helped us along the way
Build community among underrepresented folks in tech who are asking and navigating many of the same questions as us
